Innovations benefit the segment, increasing the efficiency and productivity of companies and ensuring compliance with occupational safety regulations
Occupational Safety is a critical aspect in any occupational environment, especially in a manufacturing unit. In this sense, technology has offered solutions to reduce risks and transform the segment within the industry. There are several tools, systems and applications available to improve the safety of professionals – from Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) composed of sensors that monitor conditions such as temperature, humidity and fall detection, alerting workers and managers about possible dangers; to Safety Management Systems (SGS) with software platforms that facilitate risk management, audits, compliance with safety standards and incident reporting.
There is also the possibility of implementing Virtual Reality training, with simulations of risk scenarios in virtual environments, allowing employees to practice safety procedures without exposure to real dangers. The use of Artificial Intelligence can also be implemented in Occupational Safety processes with the use of AI algorithms that help detect anomalies and recommend corrective measures before accidents occur.
Integrated Solutions – Here at Edge, we have the expertise to improve safety inspections within industries, developing solutions that make the work environment safer for companies and employees.
One of the solutions already developed had two work fronts – a mobile solution, responsible for collecting data from safety inspections, reducing errors and generating significant savings for the industry, in addition to reducing the time spent on man-hours worked. The other delivery was a web application to manage inspections and other important data, producing reports and reducing the time to release activities by more than 100% – through this same application, the user generates graphs and monitors the progress of each sector and its inspections. The project also generated savings of approximately R$1.8 million, in addition to a 50% reduction in man-hours worked and over 100% in the release of post-inspection activities.
With solutions like this, the Edge Innovation Center contributes to the development of Industry 4.0 in the country, and companies modernize their processes, directly impacting their business objectives.
